The first District Art Show was held on March 11 in the Bay Port High School Commons. Work consisted of K-12 two and three dimensional paintings, drawings, and ceramics from all grades. The Bay Port symphony ensemble performed giving the exhibition a magical feel of relaxation along with celebration and visual stimuli. The event was such a success plans are already being formed for next year's show.
The second annual art show is slated for the evening of Wednesday, March 9, 6:00-7:30, 2016, Bay Port High School Commons. Student work covering all grades K-12 will be on display as well as performances by the Bay Port High School symphony ensemble and Meadowbrook Elementary 3rd and 4th grade Choir. There will also be an "Empty Bowls" event where 200 hand thrown ceramic bowls by Bay Port art students will be on sale with proceeds donated to the Giving Tree. There will be a "Hands-On" activities. All families connected to the Howard-Suamico School District and community are encouraged to attend. |
